The ARC

     
The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers is the worlds largest yacht race with 225 yachts competing for glory held annually each November. In 2005 the starts on November 20th from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands and ends in the exotic Caribbean destination of Rodney Bay, St Lucia. The 2800 nautical mile passage will take the yachts down the NE trade winds and across the mighty Atlantic Ocean in around 10 to 25 days depending on the yacht/crew and conditions.

The ARC is open to monohulls from 27-85ft Length Overall (LOA) and catamarans from 27 to 60ft LOA, with a minimum of two crew per yacht.
